I always feel as though it is very important for new potential clients to know the person who is doing a service for them….

My name is Natalie, and I am 26 years old, I started working from the age of 13 as I set myself up a nail business and would go to neighbour’s houses promoting my services which lasted for a year. From then on, I worked in many different environments doing numerous of job roles. I had also studied animal care for a few years so any pets in homes are no problem at all as I love all furry friends.

My Story

How it Started

I have many years of cleaning experience from previous job roles such as cleaning office buildings, housekeeping and whilst studying in college I had a part time job cleaning private households to full professional standards on which I had done for 2 years. I have always had a love for cleaning and enjoy making a difference from a little TLC in any environment.

As soon as I passed my driving test, which was January 2022, I was more than eager to start my own cleaning business and become self-employed full time on which I have accomplished and achieved still to this day!

· Face to face appointments - Before taking on new clients I will arrange for a home visit so I can see in person the size of the house, how many rooms etc. and a rough estimation of how many hours it would take as well as a quote. This also helps in getting to know each other a little better and to fully understand your needs

· Insurance - I have a fully insured cleaning business which will give clients peace of mind​

· Regular contact - I am available to text or call throughout the day and will always respond as soon as I can. I always send a text to clients after their clean to let them know their service has been done and what extras I was able to do within the time period​

· Registration - I have a fully registered cleaning business​

· References - My references are available upon request and will happily let new clients check my Id’s​

· Products - Majority of cleaning companies will use client’s products whereas I bring all my own and won’t need to use a drop of yours​

· Feedback - I have had numerous of very satisfied clients and have a good reputation from feedback of others​

· Timing slot - If for any reason I go over my cleaning time by up to 15 minutes max, I will never charge for this whereas most cleaning companies do

· Consistency - Clients will always get the same cleaner(s) assigned to their home and will have the same constant standard of services provided

Cleaning Products and Equipment

I clean all my client’s homes with my own cleaning products and my own equipment. I use the correct cleaning products for all areas of the household for e.g., marble cleaner for marble units, stainless steel cleaner for appliance’s that are made from stainless steel, flash/method bathroom cleaner for bathrooms only etc. I have soft long lasting microfibres for cleaning all areas of the household and are all colour coded for each individual room e.g., kitchens and bathrooms, this is to prevent cross contamination.

I provide bin bags and bin liners as well as sponges if needed. I use Shark, Henry Hoover’s, and Dyson vacuums; they’re all excellent at removing dust and pet hair that’s invisible to the eye, and they make cleaning the entire house easier.   

 

​Please make aware if yourself or members of the family have any allergies that may be in cleaning products, and I will of course use alternatives. I also allow all clients to let me know if they have a preferred cleaning product and the company will provide this with no extra charge.

 Termination

Under no circumstances will myself or my employee(s) tolerate:

​

  • Verbal abuse

​

  • Physical abuse

​

  • Breach of confidentiality

​

  • Dishonesty or lying

​

  • Inconsistency of cancelling:

- If there is an inconsistency of cancelling, there will be a termination of the cleaning service provided

  • Inconsistency of payment:

- If there is an inconsistency of payments, there will be a termination of the cleaning services provided

​

​The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took affect in May 2018​, updates data protection laws in the EU. It fortifies individual's privacy rights and mandates organisations to safeguard personal data, making it essential to understand the GDPR for compliance and protecting user rights.

Scott’s shine will always respect the client’s privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data. Below is a list of detailed examples on how the company will collect, use and store client’s personal information. Which is in line with the UK GDPR and data protection act 2018. 

​

1.    Data the company may collect would be personal information e.g. name(s), address, contact details and work-related information such as consent for marketing, key codes/alarm systems or the up keeping of payments/cancellations and holidays. 
2.    The data the company collects is only used for services provided e.g. cleaning or organising the household. This information will be stored either digitally or written.
2.1.    The digital records of data collected are stored securely with password protective systems.
2.2.    The paper records of data collected are stored securely in a locked cabinet with restricted access. 
3.    If the client(s) provides a house key, the key will be stored in a secure lock box. 
3.1.    The key will be colour coded with a tag attached, only having the forename of the client(s) written on it. 
4.    Data collected will not be shared amongst any third parties unless the company is required to by law or is agreed upon by the client.
5.    Clients have the right to request and access their data collected.
6.    Staff members will have confidentiality training and only the assigned cleaner will have access to their client’s personal information such as the name(s), address and key codes/ alarm systems.
